Participatory referential scale of democratic citizenship schools is a practical tool for self-assessment of school actors on participation in terms of learning and decision-making processes and community relations. It can be used as a standard framework for schools in the European union that wish to understand their own level of participation; besides that it is a stimulation to take further steps towards improving participation.
